Jack Saltman

A British producer and editor, who spent most of his working life at Thames Television, serving the London area. Saltman started out on the BBC’s Panorama before moving over to work as a producer on interview series The Frost Programme (1977). He joined long-running current affairs series TV Eye in 1979. When TV Eye became This Week in 1986 (returning to its original name), Saltman stayed on as editor until 1991, the year before Thames lost its ITV franchise. Other notable works as producer include BBC2 documentary Act of Rape (1977), Thames’ Waldheim – A Commission of Inquiry (1988) and HBO’s Guilt or Innocence: The Trial of James Earl Ray (1993).
