A British editor, who worked as assistant editor on 17 of the Carry On movies, from Carry On Teacher (1959) to Carry On Emmanuelle (1978), usually uncredited. Jack Gardner also edited its various ‘best of’ compilations, such as the What a Carry On film (1973) and television series (1984-1986). He was assistant editor on numerous other films, including One Good Turn (1955), The Spanish Gardener (1956), The Square Peg (1958), A Kind of Loving (1962), Billy Liar (1963), The Big Job (1965), Ransom (1974) and Fame (1980), and was editor of Gerry Anderson’s Dick Spanner, P.I. series (1987).
