A character actress who appeared in a couple of British classics, Richmond played Shirley Anne Field’s mother in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960) and featured in Darling (1965), later taking a role in O Lucky Man! (1973). She also played Bob’s mum, Mrs Ferris, in The Likely Lads (1965-66).
