Hugh Wilson

Director, Producer, Writer

An American director, producer and writer who began his career as a TV writer on sitcoms such as The Bob Newhart Show (1976), Wilson went on to create both WKRP in Cincinnati (1978-1982) and Frank’s Place (1987-1988). On the big screen his most enduring work was as writer-director of the classic comedy Police Academy (1984).
