Harry Landis

A British actor of stage and screen, whose career lasted more than 60 years and included 100-plus film and television credits. He was most prolific on UK TV, with credits in the likes of mini-series Oliver Twist (1962), Crown Court (1973-1975) and A Woman of Substance (1985). He also had a recurring role on soap EastEnders (1995-1997). On the big screen, he featured in Hell in Korea (1956), Dunkirk (1958), The Longest Day (1962), Calculated Risk (1963) and Edge of Tomorrow (2014). Landis was also president of the actors’ union, Equity (2002-2008).
