A double BAFTA nominee, Taylor entered the industry in the 1930s and enjoyed a long and illustrious career behind the camera. His movies include Ice Cold In Alex (1958), A Hard Day’s Night (1964), Dr Strangelove (1964), Repulsion (1965), Cul-de-Sac (1966), Frenzy (1972), The Omen (1976) and Star Wars (1977).
