An American actor who came to prominence in the 1960s and 70s. Latterly, he won a new string of fans for his role as Pops Solomon in ABC’s popular sitcom The Goldbergs (2013-2021). He earned a BAFTA nomination for No Way to Treat a Lady (1968), an Oscar nod for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) and a Golden Globe win for A Touch of Class (1973).
