A British actor best known for his enduring role as the dodgy used car dealer Arthur Daley on Minder (1979-1994), a performance which earned Cole two BAFTA nominations. His career began on stage in the 1940s where he met his friend and mentor Alistair Sim, and they would later star together in Scrooge (1951).
