Geoff Wonfor

A British director, who was best known for his music programmes output, particularly on the Beatles. Geoff Wonfor’s most popular work was probably the eight-part mini-series, The Beatles Anthology (1995-1996), which won him a Grammy (with co-director Bob Smeaton) as well as an Emmy nomination. He also made two music promos for Paul McCartney, as well as a live special, Live at the Cavern Club (1999). Other television work included directing episodes of The Tube (1982-1986), The White Room (1995) and Imagine... (2003) and one-offs including The Laughing Prisoner (1987) and Band Aid 20: Do They Know It’s Christmas? (2004).
