Gene Wilder

An American actor and writer who endeared himself to generations of children through his iconic lead role in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971), Wilder was equally revered for his comedic turns in films such as Blazing Saddles (1974). He received Oscar nominations for his breakthrough role in The Producers (1967) and for writing Young Frankenstein (1974) with Mel Brooks.
