Gary Waldhorn

A British actor, who will be fondly remembered for his role as head parish councillor David Horton in sitcom The Vicar of Dibley (1994-2007). Waldhorn honed his craft on the stage, particularly at the Royal Exchange in Manchester in the 1970s, although he made his small screen debut in 1967 on Take Three Girls. He appeared regularly on British television over the next 50 years, often as a guest or supporting performer. His most prominent roles included Edward & Mrs Simpson (1978), All at Number 20 (1986), Brush Strokes (1986-1989), The Chief (1991) and Lovejoy (1993-1994).
