An American executive who began his career working at Columbia Pictures in 1954, Pierce later joined Paramount in 1968 as their managing director in Rome. He came to London in 1972 to become vice president of EMEA for Warner Bros Theatrical International Distribution, and served as president of the FDA from 1999-2006.
