Francis Lai

A French composer who was an accompanist early in his career for Edith Piaf, Lai notably collaborated on some 35 films with director Claude Lelouch beginning with Un Homme et une Femme (1966). He received BAFTA nominations for his work on Vivre Pour Vivre (1967) and La Bonne Année, and won an Oscar for Love Story (1970).
