An American actress best known for her role as Dustin Hoffman’s mother in The Graduate (1967), Wilson was a respected stage actress and also had memorable roles in The Birds (1963) and The Addams Family (1991). She received a Most Promising Newcomer to Film BAFTA nomination for her role in Patterns (1956).
