A British director who was one of the first to work on Doctor Who, directing 26 episodes between 1965-1970, Martinus oversaw the first regeneration and the introduction of the Cybermen. He also directed over 50 episodes of Z Cars (1968-1978) and was an accomplished theatre director who pioneered in-the-round productions.
