A Canadian actress and singer also known as Vanity, Matthews was a protege of Prince and the lead singer of the group Vanity 6. Their hit dance song ‘Nasty Girl’ appeared on the Beverly Hills Cop (1984) soundtrack and as an actress she appeared in films including The Last Dragon (1985) and Action Jackson (1988).
