A British producer, who started out as a researcher for BBC documentaries, moving up the ranks until breaking out to produce films as a freelancer. Deanne ‘Dee’ Edwards then joined the National Film and Television School to head its self-funding Short Course Unit, setting up courses for both industry professionals and newcomers, as well as line managing its Engineering Department. Edwards was later appointed general manager and director of special projects at the Guild of British Camera Technicians. A small sample of Edwards’ producer credits includes Big George is Dead (1987), Exit No Exit (1988), Horizon episode ‘The Poison That Waits’ (1989) and Final Frame (1990).
