A British vision engineer and supervisor, whose 35-year career included live shows, music concerts, dramas and sport. Dave Griffiths trained at the BBC, then worked out of Fountain Studios in London before its closure in 2016. His extensive credits included Top of the Pops, The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, Dancing on Ice, the Proms, Wimbledon’s live coverage and much of the BBC’s live royal events over the past 30 years. He was also instrumental in bringing live theatre to the cinema from the the Royal Opera House, RSC and National Theatre, as well as concert films for such talent as David Bowie, Elton John and Christina Aguilera. He also worked on many of BAFTA’s Awards broadcasts.
