A British writer of radio plays and features, Shaw also worked as an executive at the BBC after joining in 1953 as a radio drama producer. He went on be Assistant Head of Programmes, North Region, Head of Programme Planning Group, BBC Television and Chief Secretary to the Board of Governors.
