An American film and television producer, Charles ‘Chuck’ Fries had a prodigious career with a credit list that spanned many hours of US television, made-for-television movies (a concept he helped pioneer) and theatrically released films, across Ziv Television, Columbia Pictures, Metromedia and his own company, Fries Entertainment. He also served as chair of the American Film Institute (AFI) and Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors (five times), and was a lifelong member of the Producers Guild of America.
