Chris Thompson

A British producer and assistant director (AD), who was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 1998 for Outstanding Miniseries as line producer for Merlin (1998). Chris Thompson started in the business as an AD, with his first job as third AD on Time Bandits (1981) going on to work on such films as The Missionary (1982), Gorky Park (1983), A Private Function (1984), Brazil (1985) and Full Metal Jacket (1987). He moved into production with A Kiss Before Dying (1991), earning credits as an associate producer, line producer, producer and executive producer on a catalogue of films and television series. These included Robin Hood (1991), Carrington (1995), Gulliver’s Travels (1996), Alice in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol (both 1999), Love Actually (2003), Sahara (2005), Eric & Ernie (2011), The Fear (2012), Strike Back (2013-2015), The Terror (2018), Wild Bill (2019) and The Power (2023).
