Chris Phipps

A British producer and music historian who helped create Channel Four’s notorious The Tube (1982-1987), Phipps produced the live music show and helped launch unsigned acts including Fine Young Cannibals and Frankie Goes To Hollywood. He was renowned for his encyclopaedic music knowledge which he exhibited across numerous books and documentaries.
