An American actor who was known for his deadpan delivery in such films as The Heartbreak Kid (1972), The Great Muppet Caper (1981), The Woman in Red (1984), Midnight Run (1988) and Beethoven 1 and 2 (1992 and 1993). Grodin made his Broadway debut in 1965, and went on to write his own productions, including Hooray! It’s a Glorious Day... And All That (1967) and The Right Kind of People (2004). He starred on television, too, from The Young Marrieds (1965) to Louie (2014-2015).
