A British writer and producer of escapist television, Clemens was a writer of The Avengers (1961-1969) from its inception and later also served as a producer. He created The Professionals (1977-1983) and wrote The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) and Highlander 2: The Quickening (1991) for the big screen.
