A British screenwriter and playwright, who burst onto the scene in 1972 when his unsolicited script of Whose Life Is It Anyway? was made into a television play as part of the ITV Sunday Night Theatre series. So successful was this challenging story about euthanasia, it was made into an Olivier Award-winning play (1978) and a feature film (1981). Clark wrote for various other series, including Out of Bounds (1977) and Play for Today (1974-1977), with his 10-part Telford’s Change (1979) winning him a BAFTA in 1980.
