A British comedian, actor and singer best known for The Cannon and Ball Show (1979-1988), Ball and Tommy Cannon’s ITV variety show was one of the defining pieces of family entertainment through the 1980s. In his later career he notably starred in the sitcoms Not Going Out (2009-2020) and Mount Pleasant (2011-2019).
