An American actor, who is best known for playing Doug Williams in US soap Days of Our Lives (1970-2023) in more than 2,100 episodes. Bill Hayes made several appearances on other US television series before and after landing the role he became so known for, including spots on Stop, You’re Killing Me (1952), Decoy (1958), The Interns (1970), Matlock (1988) and Frasier (2002). The Emmys presented him with a Lifetime Achievement award in 2018.
