A British actor whose career spanned over 50 years, Kay made his film debut in Carry on Sergeant (1958) and his breakthrough came starring as The Bolshevik in David Lean’s Doctor Zhivago (1965). His other notable credits included Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977) and 19 episodes of Doctor Who (1964-1971).
