A British actor who burst onto the scene following his starring performance in Chariots of Fire (1981) as British Jewish athlete Harold Abrahams. He went on to have major roles in television series The Citadel (1983), The Far Pavilions (1984) and Dark Shadows (1991), among others. Additional film roles include First Knight (1995), Turbulence (1997) and Star Trek (2009).
