An American actress, who won the Golden Globe for New Star of the Year – Actress in 1954 for classic science fiction feature It Came from Outer Space (1953). A prolific performer, Barbara Rush starred in more than 100 film and television series across her 60-plus years in the business. Notable film credits included When Worlds Collide (1951), Prince of Pirates (1953), Magnificent Obsession (1954), Bigger Than Life (1956), The Young Lions (1958) and The Young Philadelphians (1959), and on television Peyton Place (1968-1969), Flamingo Road (1980-1982), All My Children (1992-1994) and 7th Heaven (1997-2007).
