A British actress best known for her role as Baroness Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), Quayle later became known to television audiences as the eccentric Mrs Monroe on Grange Hill (1990-1994). Her other notable credits included A Hard Day’s Night (1964), Casino Royale (1967) and Up the Chastity Belt (1972).
