A Canadian actress who drew attention on Broadway in a 1948 production of Where’s Charley?, McLerie’s early credits included a 1952 film adaptation of the play and Calamity Jane (1953). After appearing in films including All the President’s Men (1976) she moved into television and was best known for The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (1987-1991).
