oAn American cinematographer whose career began shooting music videos in the 1960s, Daviau went on to photograph films including Avalon (1990) and Bugsy (1991). He frequently shot movies for Steven Spielberg and received BAFTA nominations for his work on E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) and Empire of the Sun (1987).
