Alberto De Martino

Director, Writer
12 June 1929 to 2 June 2015

An Italian director who learned as an assistant director to Sergio Leone before helming his own pictures. De Martino specialised in cashing in on successful genres with well-crafted takes on popular trends. His hits included the Exorcist-esque The Antichrist (1974), and the brazen Bond riff OK Connery (1967).
