The EE British Academy Film Awards in 2014 was a star-studded evening celebrating the very best talent in film. 12 Years A Slave was named Best Film, Alfonso Cuarón won the Director BAFTA and Gravity also took the award for Outstanding British Film, Sound, Original Music, Cinematography and Special Visual Effects. The Great Gatsby won two BAFTAs for Production Design and Costume Design, whilst Chiwetel Ejiofor won Leading Actor and Leading Actress was awarded to Cate Blanchett.

Jennifer Lawrence was awarded Best Supporting Actress and Barkhad Abdi won Best Supporting Actor.
