The singing stars of KPop Demon Hunters, directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, will be jumping off the screen and onto the stage at the EE BAFTA Film Awards next month, in their first ever live performance outside the US.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards is an unmissable event in the global film awards calendar, watched by millions of film fans around the world. EJAE (Rumi), AUDREY NUNA (Mira), and REI AMI (Zoey), the singing voices of HUNTR/X, will perform the record-breaking anthem “Golden” from the film’s award-winning soundtrack.

This live performance of an iconic song, beloved by millions around the world, will be a standout moment of the EE BAFTA Film Awards, uniting music, film and KPop Demon Hunter’s global fandom.

EJAE, AUDREY NUNA & REI AMI said: “Performing at the EE BAFTA Film Awards is a golden moment that our younger selves could never have imagined! We’re so proud to represent Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters and spread the film’s positive message to fans around the globe.”

Emma Baehr, Executive Director of Awards & Content, said: KPop Demon Hunters has had a phenomenal impact on the hearts and minds of audiences of all ages around the world since its release last summer and so we are thrilled the talented singers behind HUNTR/X will bring their K Pop energy to the EE BAFTA Film Awards next month. Not only are we here to celebrate exceptional films and the people who make them, we also want to create an unmissable night of entertainment, and we can’t wait to roll out the EE BAFTA Film Awards red carpet for such an iconic trio.”

Since its release in June 2025, KPop Demon Hunters has skyrocketed to become Netflix’s most popular film of all time, garnering prestigious awards and critical acclaim in the process. To-date, the film has amassed over 500 million streams.

“Golden” is the headline track in KPop Demon Hunters and was the number one streamed song globally in 2025 (via Nielsen/ Luminate). The song also remains the top streamed song in 2026 so far, approaching 4 billion total streams. The song also delivered an extraordinary run at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, where it held the #1 position for eight consecutive weeks.

The achievement made history as the first female K-Pop song ever to reach #1 on the chart, while also securing the longest #1 reign of the 21st century by a female group. The film’s record-setting soundtrack was also nominated for five Grammy Awards, including “Song of the Year”. “Golden” went on to win the Grammy for best song for visual media – breaking the record books once again as the first K-Pop song ever to win a Grammy.

The 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday 22 February, as-live. In the US, the ceremony will broadcast on E! Find out where to watch wherever you are in the world here.
