Dylan LaRay is awarded the Taffner Family Charitable Trust Scholarship. He’s an award-winning actor and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, but he hails from the high deserts of Northern Arizona. As a queer writer and director, his work often delves into the complex intricacies of the human experience through a queer lens. With a minimalist approach, a wide array of genre interests, and a zeal for character-driven narratives, he pushes the boundaries to tell human stories with frankness and emotional clarity.

His film “Nocturne,” had its world premiere at the Chain NYC Film Festival and his short, first-person documentary, “The Road with You”, became an official selection at the Vermillion Vortex Film Festival. As an actor, he is best known for playing Billy Cochran in the indie horror feature, “Fang”, and he will make his network episodic debut this fall in HBO’s “Task”, the highly anticipated follow-up to “Mare of Easttown”. He is currently working towards his MFA in Film at the City College of New York and is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA).
