Emily Corado is Guatemalan and was born and raised in California, she is currently pursuing a Film and Media Studies degree and the University of California, Santa Barbara.

She said: “It means a lot to me to be selected because I don’t have the connections that would help me further my dream of a film career. I am glad to have this opportunity not only to connect with people but also to have a sense of relief that I do have a way of getting a career.”

Emily hasn’t quite decided what her future career will be, but she is certain that she would like a career in Film or Games. Emily is very proud of her time at the UCLA Game Lab where she learned the ins and outs of creating her own video game. “I dream of a career that allows me to create and work on a special project with people who also have the same interests as me.” – she said.

Emily is a massive fan of the bassist Flea from the Red-Hot Chili Peppers, she admires how he has overcome so much in his life and continues to love performing music in his own unique way.
