(She/Her)

Beth’s breakthrough project is the game Black Myth: Wukong.

Beth Park worked for a decade as an actor, then used her passion for the rehearsal process – building the project and its world, and directing the characters through it – to inspire a career move. This led her to performance direction for games, joining the industry in 2019 and moving from initially freelance to senior voice director at Pitstop Productions.

Her work with the actors – which includes casting, motion capture performance and voice – has contributed a series of hugely successful and popular games, including BAFTA-winning Baldur’s Gate III, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, Miasma Chronicles (all 2023), Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Metaphor: ReFantazio and Black Myth: Wukong (all 2024). Not just having a truly Breakthrough year in Games, Beth has also directed two short films (Fishwife and Wild Animal) and her first feature is in development.

In their own words…

“I’m really good with actors because I used to be one, so I understand what ideas will light them up and provoke the most authentic performances. I also understand that a game director has a vision and that the actors have a need, and I’m good at tying those two things together… I want to make connections across both games and film [through BAFTA Breakthrough] and use my experience in games to help open the doorway into film. I love creating worlds and surprising people.”
