Daisy Rosato, a queer, neurodivergent filmmaker is awarded the Taffner Family Charitable Trust Scholarship. Raised in New Orleans and based in Brooklyn, Daisy’s art reflects a cinematic fluency based on deep technical understanding, pulling from work as a scenic carpenter and a camera assistant. Her short film POSSUM (2024) won an audience award at Final Girls Berlin, had its US premiere at Salem Horror, and its NYC Premiere at the inaugural Climate Film Festival. She is currently in post-production for the micro-budget, improvised feature film Sinner Supper Club, which she shot on an iPhone.

As a writer, she’s attended the Austin Film Festival, Stowe Story Labs, and Studiofest VR. With a BA in Theatre/German from Bard College and a propensity for rewiring lamps, she is tapped into a natural curiosity for understanding the world around her. She is a current Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema MFA candidate at Brooklyn College.
