Ellie Hunt

Ellie is an aspiring screenwriter from Northern Ireland. She graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2021 with a first-class degree in Modern and Medieval Languages (French and German).

After an internship in documentary film distribution in Paris during her year abroad, her curiosity about the industry began to grow, and the notion of becoming a screenwriter began to settle, rather stubbornly, in her head. She dived deeper into this world while working in talent management in London and began writing more seriously in stolen hours before and after work.

She is now thrilled to be pursuing her MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA, all thanks to the generous support of BAFTA and Fulbright. She looks forward to learning everything that she can from this exciting opportunity, expanding and developing her craft in order to do justice to all the stories she hopes to tell.
