An American comic book writer who was best known for creating many of Marvel’s iconic superheroes, Lee’s creations ranged from Spider-Man, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk to the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. Adaptations of his work have earned billions at the box office, and his cheeky cameos became a required feature of them.
