Raoul Coutard

A French cinematographer whose revolutionary style and prolific output typified the French New Wave, Coutard was a regular collaborator of Jean-Luc Godard on classics such as A bout de souffle (1960), Jules et Jim (1962) and Pierrot le Fou (1965). He received a BAFTA nomination for The Sailor From Gibraltar (1967).
