Peter Ellenshaw

British-born Ellenshaw specialised in creating matte paintings for period backdrops in live action films such as Quo Vadis (1951) and Spartacus (1960). But it was with Walt Disney that he achieved his greatest successes, on films such as Treasure Island (1950), Mary Poppins (1964) and Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971).
