A British production designer who worked across film, fashion, theatre and television, Howells’ screen career began as an Assistant Art Director on The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989). He notably worked on Emma (1995), Nanny McPhee (2005) and Victoria (2016-2017), and received a BAFTA nomination for his work on Shackleton (2002).
