A Scottish journalist and broadcaster whose career began at The Scotsman, Milne joined BBC Scotland as a reporter in 1971 and served as the first presenter of Good Morning Scorland on BBC Radio Scotland. ilne moved into television as the presenter of Reporting Scotland for a decade and was a regular presence on Newsnight Scotland.
