John McGlashan

A New Zealand cinematographer of both factual and fictional television series, working predominantly in the UK. He joined the BBC in the late 1950s, initially as the lead cameraman on arts series Monitor (1958-1965). Other notable credits include The Ascent of Man (1973), Metro-Land (1973), Silent Witness (1997-1999) and Monarch of the Glen (2003-2005). He was nominated for four BAFTAs three years on the trot, for Clarissa in 1992, Natural Lies in 1993 and The Buddha of Suburbia and Scarlet and Black (both 1994).
