A British writer who began her career as an actress, Hyem appeared in television shows such as Dixon of Dot Green (1959-1960) and Bold as Brass (1964). She began writing for radio before moving onto television where she penned 14 episodes of Tenko (1981-1984), Howard’s End (1985), and created Wish Me Luck (1988-1990).
