A British comedian who won the Perrier Award in 1988, Hardy was known for his political material and was a frequent panellist on I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue and The News Quiz. He wrote ten series of Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation (1993-2014), and made infrequent acting appearances in the likes of Blackadder Goes Forth (1989).
