An American producer who was a frequent collaborator of Martin Scorsese, Ufland was best known for producing The Last Temptation of Christ (1988). He began his career as an agent representing the likes of Scorsese, Ridley Scott and Marcello Mastroianni before founding Ufland-Roth Productions with partner Joe Roth.
